Applications

CFS-A11 is especially suitable for high temperature curing sol-gel coating systems and sol-gel based hybrid coating systems as binders, which bring special advantages to the system:
♦ Waterborne system
♦ Free of organic volatiles (VOC-free)
♦ Form an ultra-thin coating (< 2 μm)
♦ Resistance to boiling water
♦ Extremely high hardness
♦ Excellent thermal stability (up to a high temperature of about 220 ° C)

Applicable substrate: steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, glass.

CFS-A11 is suitable as a binder component in high temperature crosslinked sol-gel coatings and sol-gel hybrid coatings. Dynasylan® SIVO 110 features:
♦ High hardness (5H hardness according to the formula)
♦ Excellent scratch resistance
♦ Extraordinary stability in boiling water (2 hours in boiling water at 100 ° C to reach Gt0)
♦ Good adhesion on a variety of substrates
♦ Good adhesion to organic top coats (eg epoxy)
♦ Ideal toughness
♦ Low film thickness (recommended: dry film thickness < 2 μm)
♦ Excellent resistance to solvents and other chemical agents

Recommended application areas:
♦ As a corrosion resistant primer system
♦ As a transparent sol-gel topcoat, exhibits excellent high temperature resistance up to 220 °C
♦ Coating system with high hardness and further increase hardness by adding up to 20 wt.% silica sol
♦ By adding CFS-A11 as a transparent "easy to clean" sol-gel top coat

Storage
CFS-A11 should be stored in its original containers and used up as soon as possible after opening.
CFS-A11 should be stored in a well-ventilated and cool place, and kept without any humidity exposure.
CFS-A11 has a shelf life of twelve months when stored in an unopened and strictly sealed container.
