3-Mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane is a silane coupling agent containing a hydrolysable ethoxy group and a reactive mercapto group. It is mainly used in tires and silicone rubbers as a surface modifier and an adhesion promoter. It is known as KH-580 in China and normally acts as the counterpart of Momentive Silquest A-1891 or ShinEtsu KBE-803.

CFS-096 can be used as an adhesion promoter and fillersments modifier in coating and sealants industries.

CFS096 can be used as a surface modifier and an adhesion promoter to prepare silylation surface treatment agents of metal. Suitable inorganic substrates include glass, silica, glass fibers, mica, kaolin and other inorganic fillers.

CFS-096 can also be used as crosslinkers of organic polymers and resin additives.

CFS-096 can be used as an additive for the preparation of finishing agents and shrink-proof agents of textiles and fabrics.
