Product Description
CFS-S178 is a coupling agent for glass fiber and particulate filler reinforced composites. It is a 100% active methacrylamido functional silane that may be used to promote adhesion between a wide range of resins and substrates and reinforcements. It is also useful as a monomer in the synthesis of organic polymers. It functions as a moisture- activated crosslinking agent. CFS-S178 is the equivalent product of Momentive Silquest A-178.

Applications
CFS-S178 can be used as a moisture-activated cross-linking agent. It can be used to promote adhesion between a wide range of resins and substrates and reinforcements. It may also be useful as a monomer in the synthesis of organic polymers.
CFS-S178 can be used for chemical bonding between inorganic materials such as glass fibers, inorganic fillers, metals and organic polymers such as unsaturated polyesters, vinyl esters, acrylics, polybutenes, and polyolefins.

CFS-S178 can be used in UV-curable coatings to improve adhesion to inorganic substrates.

Storage
CFS-S178 should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated place, and avoid exposure to humidity.
CFS-S178 should be stored in its original containers and used up asap after opening.
When stored in a strictly sealed and unopened container, CFS-S178 has a shelf life of 12months.
