CFS-669, Diphenyldimethoxysilane or Dimethoxydiphenylsilane is a difunctional monomeric silane. Higher purity CFS-669 without PCBs is available at Co-Formula. CFS-669 is normally abbreviated as DDS, DPDMS or DMDPS.

The phenyl group enables Co-Formula phenyl silanes to be utilized and perform excellently under high temperature. For high temperature silicone polymer synthesis, phenyl silanes can replace other functional silanes to act as crosslinking agents. Phenyl silanes are also used as electron donors in polypropylene polymerization.

Application

CFS-669 can be used as a catalyst for preparing propylene copolymer and stretched polypropylene film. It can adjust isotactic degree in polypropylene polymerization.
CFS-669 can be used as a basic intermediate for the synthesis of phenyl silicone rubbers, phenyl silicone resins and phenyl silicone fluids, especially suitable for high temperature vulcanized methyl phenyl silicone rubbers.
CFS-669 can be used as an adhesion promoter and a surface modifier in various paints and coatings, adhesives and sealants industries.
CFS-669 can be used for electronic packaging materials and aerospace materials preparation.
